University of Granada Starts PTS Expansion

The Minister of Innovation, Science and Business of the Autonomous Government of Andalusia, Martín Soler, has led the ceremonial laying of the first stone of the five teaching buildings that the University of Granada is set to build in the Granada Health Science Technological Park (PTS): the faculties of Medicine, Health Sciences, Dentistry and Pharmacy, and the Central Services building. The total budget for the construction project will be over 200 million euros.

Call for Entries for the 6th Health Science Prize

The president of the Caja Rural Foundation, Antonio León, the vice-chancellor of the University of Granada´s Health Science Technological Park (PTS), Ignacio Molina, the director of the PTS Foundation, Jesús Quero, and the president of the College of Physicians of Granada, Javier de la Teresa, have announced the call for entries for the sixth edition of the Health Science Prize. The deadline for entries is the 31st of March 2010.

The management and coordination centre at the Granada Health Science Technological Park (PTS) will be finished by the end of the year. The new centre will be in the refurbished Cortijo Nuevo de las Angustias, a building on a plot of public land granted by Granada City Council. The refurbishment work is being financed by the Spanish Government, through its “Plan E”, and the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Business of the Autonomous Government of Andalusia.
